sun tea

Just in time for the hot sun,
one of my favorite blogs, Wilder Quarterly, had a great post about sun tea and
various garden herbs you can use to make a healing drink.

The other day, a headache hit me.
I remembered reading in Wilder's post that lemon balm is a headache remedy.
Hauling myself off the sofa, I rambled with my daughter to our garden,
and she happily plucked some lemon balm and placed it into a mason jar.
We filled the jar with water and set it in a sunny spot to steep for a bit.

The result?  Delicious tea and a headache soothed by either the magic of the herb
or the feeling of creating a remedy from something we grew (or both).
